When we were first contacted by MK for this shoot, we were beyond excited! MK told us that she had recently flown to Washington state several times to complete a full back tattoo that she wanted to showcase in her images. This was definitely something different for us so we were thrilled to be able to incorporate this amazing piece of art into her session (and our portfolio!). And as if that wasn’t enough for us to be excited about, we soon found out that she was a 46 year old mother of three! Yes…we were just as shocked as you. So this goes to show you that boudoir sessions are for everyone. It’s for those of you wanting to celebrate a certain age or event; those wanting to showcase body art; those who are proud of their body and how it has been taken care of no matter what age. She is a gorgeous person inside and out and we love that she has allowed us to share a little bit of her session with you.

Blush Boudoir has been busy, busy, busy! So busy that our blog has been severely neglected…but that is soon to change. The Blush Girls (Tiffani & Marta) would also like to thank Khalood for the amazing hair and makeup! We have had the pleasure to have booked her for our last 3 marathons and will now do just about anything to get her for the rest! For the Brides out there…she does Bridal as well!

About a year ago we ventured into a new portion of our Boudoir business…video. With the break of Fusion Photography (video mixed with stills) we saw the perfect opportunity to give our clients the dream gift for their special someone. Imagine a touch of motion, soft details, sultry music and our photography combined into a captivating 3-5 minutes.

Blush Boudoir has been insanely busy lately. We just wrapped up 3 Blush Marathons in 2 months in Washington DC, Charleston, SC and Richmond, Va and we have just added 2 more last minute marathons to our calendars due to the overwhelming number of inquiries we have had. Tiffani & I are even more thrilled to have so many girls from the last marathons allow us to share their images.

The tricky thing about the Boudoir business is the images are generally very private and intimate. So we don’t always get to show off our work. As women we completely understand and respect the needs of jobs, contracts, family, church, etc…but as photographers that love showing off our work…it is just a tad frustrating. So when we get the “OMG yes” we get all giddy! Here is a peek into one of the session from the June DC Blush Boudoir Marathon. We have more sessions still being edited, approved, etc…so there will hopefully be more added soon. Until then enjoy this beautiful lady and taking a peek into one of our sessions.

Blush | Couture – Va, DC, MD & Destination Boudoir Photographer

Last weekend Tiffani and I (Marta) had the chance to do a Couture Session. We were so excited and each of us arrived to the session armed with more ideas than we had time for!

What is a Couture Session you ask? For us a Couture Session is a session catered and designed just for you. Sure pretty much all of our sessions are customized for you, but the Couture Sessions are taken to the next level. We will discuss a vision, whether you have one of your own, or want us to use our artistic brains to come up with something and together we will find the perfect locaton, clothing, accessories, and decor to make your session fit the ideas we come up with. A Couture Session includes location, photographers, hair and makeup, all the edited files on DVD, edited video, gifts, wine, champagne, Couture Album, etc.

This particular session was all Tiff and I. Ashley left it up to us and oddly enough Tiff and I had very similar ideas and color story in mind. We both shopped separately for this one, and brought it all together only to have bits and pieces of both our ideas work perfectly with each others. A touch of romance, Victorian, vintage, fun, flirty and very sensual. Tiffani even brought a load of candles to add a candle lit shoot at the end of the session that produced some very cool images.

We are now opening two slots on May 17th in DC/Alexandria, and 3 slots during the June 12 & 13 marathon. Be sure to email or call us if you are interested in any of these dates!
